Introduction

 

S.R. DAV Public School, Pundag is a prestigious co-educational institution with a strength of over 2000 students ranging from classes I to XII. The school is situated amidst tranquil surroundings far away from city life.

Established in the year 1987 with a minimal strength of 65 students, it has attained great heights both in academic and co-curricular fields. At present Classes I to XII are running in the newly constructed Building at Pundag.

The Distinctive Feature of the School is to impart quality education by keeping in mind the all around development of a child’s personality. The school has a well-stacked Library, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology labs and a mathematics lab, a hi-tech computer lab, an art and craft room, a sports room and a music room.

It has a galaxy of qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers who adapt a ‘Child-Centered’ approach for all-round development using specialized programmes and modern techniques for harnessing talent while laying stress upon the inculcation of Indian culture and moral values.

Assembly and Moral Education

To inculcate moral value in the students the school starts each working day with the Morning Assembly that includes recitations of Vedic Mantras, devotional songs, patriotic songs, and thought for the day.

Stress is laid on the eternal values of Indian culture. Short speeches are delivered by the students and the teachers on a variety of subjects and important current events. The news is also read by the students every morning. The assembly disperses with Shanti Path followed by National Anthem.
